KNOXVILLE, IOWA, December 29, 2010 - There are several sprint car Speed Weeks around the country today, but only one awards the Jesse Hockett "Mr. Sprint Car" title to its top driver. And, while it's hard to believe, the Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week will celebrate its tenth year in 2011, taking place August 4-13 at the big half-mile dirt tracks in Knoxville and Oskaloosa. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee, Sammy Swindell, is the defending Jesse Hockett "Mr. Sprint Car" titlist. The 10th annual Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week kicks off on August 4-6 at the Knoxville Raceway with the 21st annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Windstream. The Casey's General Stores-sponsored winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car feature on Saturday, August 6, will also be a points-paying round in the ten-night series. On Sunday, August 7, Knoxville Raceway will host the second annual Non-Winged Knoxville Nationals for the traditional sprint cars of the United States Auto Club (USAC). The winged 305-cubic-inch sprint car feature that night will also be a points-paying round in 2011. Please see the attached press release for more details.
