Baypark Speedway Hosts Third
2011 Premier Chevy Dealers
Knoxville World Challenge Qualifier This Weekend
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (January 7, 2011) - The Baypark
Speedway in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, will host the third 2011 Premier
Chevy Dealers Knoxville World Challenge international qualifier tonight and
tomorrow, January 7-8. Amongst the early entrants are Americans Sammy
Swindell of Tennessee, Ricky Logan of Arkansas, Jonathan Allard of
California, and Tommy Tarlton of California; Australian Peter Murphy of
Queensland; and past New Zealand champions Rodney Wood, Dean Brindle, Carl
Wilson and Jamie McDonald. The 25-lap Ace Concrete Cutting New Zealand
Sprint Car Championship will pay $3,000 to win, with all competitors
qualifying for the $10,000-to-win Premier Chevy Dealers Knoxville World
Challenge on Friday, August 12, during the 51st annual Goodyear Knoxville
Nationals, presented by Lucas Oil, at Knoxville Raceway.
Amongst the other New
Zealanders that have confirmed their attendance for the New Zealand Sprint
Car Championship are Karen Forsey, Greg Pickerill, Ian Easton, Colin
Entwisle, Kerri-Anne James, Graeme “Skinny” Colson, Ryan O’Connor, Hans
