Toby Kruse signs on as General Manager at Knoxville
Raceway
KNOXVILLE, IA

- The Marion
County Fair Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Toby
Kruse has been hired as General Manager and Promoter of the Knoxville
Raceway and Marion County Fair. Kruse’s selection to replace current
Promoter Ralph Capitani was unanimously approved by the Marion County Fair
Board.
“Although it has been a very long process, we feel we have been successful
in choosing the best candidate for the job,” stated Board President, Terry
Harvey, “We look forward to the planning process with Mr. Kruse in the
off-season so we can kick off the 2012 schedule with a bang.”
Toby Kruse brings a wealth of experience to the Knoxville Raceway including
directing events at Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, IMCA Late Model
series events, and events at the Buena Vista and Marshalltown Speedways.
Kruse has also been honored as one of Racing Promotion Monthly’s Regional
Promoter of the Year.
“During the interview process we went into the suites overlooking the track.
To look out over the facility and imagine the rich tradition and history
here at the Knoxville Raceway leaves me with a sense of awe,” said Kruse, “I
am honored to have been selected from so many qualified candidates and look
forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”
Knoxville Raceway’s premier events include the 52nd Goodyear Knoxville
Nationals August 8-11, 2012, the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals
August 2-4, 2012, the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals and the Lucas
Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series. Knoxville Raceway conducts events
from late April to early October each year.
