Race Works on Board For Shiverfest

DONNELLSON, IA (Oct. 11, 2006) – Race Works of Mendon, Illinois, is the latest addition to the list of Purse Sponsors for the 2007 running of Shiverfest at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson. A supplier to racers and automobile enthusiasts throughout the tri-state area, the Race Works crew has added an additional $50 to the B-Modified purse resulting in a five dollar bump for each of the top ten positions in that division. Drivers who may need supplies for Shiverfest, or in preparation for the 2007 racing season are encouraged to contact Race Works at (217) 936-3245.

Previously Donna Smith of Farmington Tax Service and race fan Jean Church of Mt. Pleasant have added $150 to both the Stock Car and Modified divisions. The updated B-Modified purse is below while the Hobby Stocks and the Four-Cylinder “Wild Things” are also on the schedule for Shiverfest.

Pit gates will open at noon on October 21st and drivers are encouraged to arrive early. The pill draw will end at 3:00 p.m. as the drivers’ meeting begins and hot laps will get underway at 3:15. Drivers who would like to participate in trick-or-treating for the kids should have their car and their treats ready to go to the infield at 4:00 and green flag racing will get underway at 4:30 p.m..
