All drivers have opportunity to take advantage of new agreement

DONNELLSON, IA (Jan. 16, 2011) – The 2012 season will see Lee County Speedway and 34 Raceway work together to provide drivers, fans and crews the best racing possible in southeast Iowa and the first step of that effort comes with an agreement to offer incentives to each track’s weekly drivers.

Each track will offer its own bonus to drivers! If a driver competes in six straight races for their respective class they will get a free pit pass for them to use the seventh week. That pass will only be good for the seventh consecutive week. If at any point the string of weeks is broken or the pass is not used, the count will start over and the driver will need six straight weeks to earn the bonus.

As a pair, LCS and 34 Raceway have offered another bonus for drivers who compete at both tracks on a weekly basis. For those drivers, if they compete at four consecutive class events at each track they will receive a free pass from each track for the next scheduled event.

For the classes that do not run weekly at 34 Raceway, which include Sport Mods and Sport Compacts, if they have four consecutive weeks in the books at LCS when they complete your fourth consecutive show at 34 Raceway, the driver will receive the free pass at both tracks.

In a year both tracks hope to promote their drivers and honor them for what they bring to the racing program, this bonus program is just another step.

It has already been announced that 34 Raceway and Lee County Speedway have worked together to make sure they do not schedule on top of each other for racing events throughout the season. The next announcement coming soon will include a three race fall challenge between the two tracks that will conclude with the annual Shiverfest event at LCS, which is currently scheduled for Oct. 13.

Keep an eye out for more information as the season draws near on the Fall Challenge, which will include a point fund!
