Event to help supply food for area food pantries thanks to new sponsor DONNELLSON, Iowa (Mar. 21, 2012) – Hy-Vee stores in Keokuk and Ft. Madison have not only come on board as a night sponsor for the Together We Fight Hunger 25 for 35 in honor of Brian Hetrick 305 Sprint Car event at Lee County Speedway, April 20, but they have taken their obligation a step further. Throughout the night, fans at Lee County Speedway will be able to make donations to purchase non-perishable food items for local food pantries. Hy-Vee has agreed to make every $25 donated, $35. That’s right for every $25 worth of food LCS is able to buy with donated funds, Hy-Vee will add $10 worth of non-perishable food items, making it truly 25 for 35. “We are very excited to have Hy-Vee, in Ft. Madison and Keokuk, come onboard for what we expect to be an outstanding event,” LCS promoter Dewain Hulett said. “I think this shows how truly locally minded these stores are. “It will be a great way to get a new sponsor involved with the track as well, and there may be one more special little treat involved with Hy-Vee, but that is still in the works,” he added. Hy-Vee will have a presence at the track during its first sponsorship night at Lee County Speedway. Also, the car show will be held at Hy-Vee, in Keokuk, for the first time.
