The Lucas Oil Indoor Winter Nationals By Dan Robinson - Lucas Oil Speedway PR WHEATLAND, MO (Nov 18) - HOSKA Promotions and Greg Clemons proudly present The Lucas Oil Indoor Winter Nationals, Missouri's only indoor winter racing series. Round #1 will get underway on December 7th and 8th at the Boone County Fairgrounds heated indoor arena in Columbia, Missouri. Round #2 will invade the indoor arena at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri for two days of non-stop racing action on February 1st and 2nd. Details for a probable Round 3 will be announced at a later date. This is the last opportunity for the regions top up and coming young drivers to prepare for the Chili Bowl and the Tulsa Shootout. Drivers will journey from as far away as Texas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri as over 100 participants in 8 different classes are expected to participate. This annual series is the premier indoor winter racing series in the Midwest. Round #1 at the Boone County Fairgrounds heated indoor arena will get under way Friday night, December 7th with Outlaw Karts headlining the activities. Classes in action include the Rookie Blue Plates, Blue Plates, Modifieds, Mo's Old Time Photos F-200's, 250's, and the Open Pros. Friday's action will also include the flat racing Karts. Gates will open at 4:00 on Friday with practice set for 6:00pm and racing at 7:00. Saturday, December 8th will be highlighted by two classes of screaming Mini-Sprints and the Short Track Dirt Bikes. Three wild classes of Pit Bikes, All Outlaw Sprint Karts, FWD Hornets, and the ever popular Hillbilly Lawn Mower races will also be on the card. Action will get underway on Saturday with a 2:00 practice session, followed by qualifiers at 4:00, with main events scheduled to get underway promptly at 7:00pm. Spectator gates will open at 6:00pm. Spectator admission age 0-4 is free, race fans ages 5-12 are $5, with adult admission $10. Advanced discount tickets are available at all participating area O'Reilly Auto Parts stores. These advanced discount tickets are $4 for ages 5-12 and $8 for adults. All Pit Passes will be $20. Entry fee for the event will be $30 which also includes one pit pass. Round #2 on February 1st and 2nd at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds heated Indoor Arena will feature two days of non-stop racing action with the Friday show featuring the Race Brother's Hillbilly Lawn Mowers, RE Cycle Flat Track Motorcycles, ENS Outlaw Blue plate young guns (ages 5-10), Outlaw Kart Modified young guns (ages 8-12), and the DC Cycle Modified Pit Bikes. Saturday's show will pack the grandstands with an ambitious evening of racing including the Barstool Racers, the TRS Motorsports Outlaw Karts, the Ron's Racing Collectables 250's, the Mo's Old Time Photo F-200's, Modified Outlaw Karts, ENS Outlaw Blue plate young guns, Stock appearing racing Karts, and a Promoters challenge.
