Updated O'Reilly MLRA 2006 Thunder Tour Schedule

Buckner, MO (Jan. 29, 2006) - Nearly three weeks have passed since the tentative 2006 O'Reilly MLRA schedule was released and a busy three weeks it has been.

With twenty-one races on the schedule the phones lines have been busy from the Buckner, MO home of promoters Harriett and Allen Chancellor as they worked to secure more dates for the 2006 season. "We wanted to get a tentative schedule out so that drivers and fans could go ahead and start planning for the year," commented Harriett Chancellor at the Bodee's Motorsports Auction on Saturday. "We knew that we were going to add more, but the response from the tracks has been great and we still have some irons in the fire to possibly add more."

All told seven events have been added since the initial release of the schedule. LA Raceway will add to their September date by adding a second event on April 7 to kick off the year. Midway Speedway, in Lebanon, MO, and Lake Ozark Speedway, in Eldon, MO, provide a June weekend with action taking place at those tracks on June 16 and 17. July will see the addition of July 22 at Lucas Oil Speedway for an event to be run in conjunction with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series. Another full weekend has been added to the August schedule as Valley Speedway, in Grain Valley, MO, and Scotland County Speedway, in Memphis, MO, will see action on August 11 and 12. Salina Speedway, in Salina, KS, has the lone addition to the September docket on September 2 while the October 7 event at Bolivar Speedway has been upgraded to a two day event now encompassing October 6 as well.
