Heads North to The Park Jefferson, Adams County, and I-80 Speedways this
Weekend, July 24th-26th!
BUCKNER, MO (July 21st, 2009) - The O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil
Products is back on the road this weekend with a huge Three-Day swing
starting at the Park Jefferson Speedway on Friday, July 24th. The Teams then
head a bit south to the Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa on Saturday
night, July 25th before wrapping up the weekend in Greenwood, NE at the I-80
Speedway on Sunday night, July 26th. This is the make-up weekend for the
previously scheduled Independence Day Freedom Tour that was cut short by
rain in early July. The previously announced point fund will still be in
effect for the first two races this weekend. The O'Reilly NCRA will
accompany the MLRA at all three events.
The O'Reilly MLRA will try again to make it's first ever visit to the Park
Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, South Dakota for the $4,000 to win Patrick
M. Pinney "Best of the Midwest 40". 360 Mods and Hornets will run as support
classes to the Late Models. Gates are set to open at 5:00pm with racing
scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm. The Park Jefferson Speedway is located
in Southeastern South Dakota, immediately north of the point where South
Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska meet. The NASCAR 4/10ths mile oval hosts drivers
from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and neighboring states. For

. This is the Make Up event for the previously rained out Freedom Tour race
originally scheduled for July 3rd, 2009.
The Independence Day Spectacular at The Adams County Speedway in Corning,
Iowa will run as previously scheduled, although a couple weeks late, as the
O'Reilly MLRA drivers battle it out for the $3,000 winner's share of the
loot. This is the Make Up Race for the event that was originally rained out
on July 4th, 2009. Hobby Stocks, Pro Streets, and Modifieds will run in
support of the MLRA. The Adams County Fair and Racing Association fireworks
spectacular will still follow after the races. Pit gates open at 4:00pm,
with grandstand gates set to open at 5:00pm, and racing scheduled to get
underway at 6:30pm. The Adams County Speedway is located at the Adams County
Fairgrounds, 1 mile north of Highway 34 on Highway 148, then east on 12th

The O'Reilly MLRA returns to the I-80 Speedway on Sunday night, July 26th
for a special $3,000 to win show that was recently added to the schedule.
Pit Gates will open at 2:30 with Grandstand Gates set to open at 4:00pm and
racing action set to get underway at 5:55pm. I-80 and MLRA Officials have
pledged to roll the MLRA Feature no later than 9:00pm. NASCAR Late Models
and Pro-Ams will also accompany the MLRA Late Models. TICKETS are $18 for
Adults, $5 for Juniors (6-15), and 5 & Under admitted FREE. The I-80
Speedway is located off I-80 at exit 420 between Omaha and Lincoln and is
part of the Nebraska Raceway Park complex, which also includes the Little
Sunset Speedway go-kart track and Soaring Edge Motocross Park. For track

As an added bonus, Patrick M. Pinney Contractors and Lucas Oil Products have
teamed up to offer a special 3-day point fund for the Freedom Tour. The Top
Points earner for the three day swing which includes the original show at
I-80 on July 2nd and wraps up with this weekends shows at Park Jefferson and
Adams County will still receive a $1,000 bonus. Second place will receive
$800, Third will receive an extra $500 with fourth and fifth receiving $400
and $300 respectively. The O'Reilly MLRA has also announced Five Additional
$300 bonuses to anyone that doesn't make the feature at I-80 Speedway on
July 2nd or Park Jefferson Speedway on July 24th. To be eligible for the
bonus, the driver must attempt both races.
John Anderson Continues to whittle away at Al Purkey in the season long
points battle as Purkey leads Anderson now by just 8 points. Alan Vaughn
continues in the third spot despite breaking at US 36 last weekend and
running a different car to qualify for this past weekends feature at Lucas
Oil Speedway. David Turner has slipped ahead of Joe Kosiski into the fourth
spot with Kosiski now fifth. Jason Bodenhamer, Denny Woodworth, Bill Koons,
