Cornhusker Classic This Saturday!
BUCKNER, MO (September 21) - The O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil
Products charges back to action this Saturday, September 26th with the
Annual Cornhusker Classic at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. This will
be a co-sanctioned event with the MLRA and the NCRA, as the region's top
Dirt Late Model Drivers battle for the $3,000 winner's share of the main
event.
Practice for the Cornhusker Classic will be held on Friday, September 25th
from 6:30-10:00pm. Pit Gates will open at 4:30pm on Friday evening with
grandstand gates opening at 5:30. The annual Cornhusker Bash will start at
9:00 and last until 1:00am at the Checkered Flag Bar & Grill. Live Music
will be provided by Captain Obvious with FREE BBQ and Cash bar with pit
wristband. Grandstand admission is FREE on Friday with Pit Passes $20.00.
Saturday, September 26th will kick off the racing action with a complete
program for the MLRA/NCRA Late Models and qualifying heat races for the IMCA
Sport Mods, NASCAR Pro Ams, NASCAR Late Models, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA
Sport Compacts. Pits Gates on Saturday open at 12:00pm as fans are invited
to tour the pits until 4:00. Hot Laps are set to start at 5:00pm with racing
scheduled to get underway at 6:00pm. Grandstand admission on Saturday will
be $20 for Adults, $15 for Juniors (6-15), and Kids 5 and under admitted
FREE to the Speedway. Pit Passes on Saturday will be $30.
Sunday, September 27th will feature a full show of SLMR Late Models, Consi
Races and Features for IMCA Sport Mods, NASCAR Pro Ams, NASCAR Late Models,

The I-80 Speedway is located off I-80 at exit 420 between Omaha and Lincoln
and is part of the Nebraska Raceway Park complex, which also includes the
Little Sunset Speedway go-kart track and Soaring Edge Motocross Park. For

Omaha, Nebraska's John Anderson sits atop the MLRA points standings with
1161. Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey sits in second place just 58 markers
behind Anderson with four races remaining in the chase for the 2009 crown.
Joe Kosiski, also from Omaha, sits in third with Centerview, Missouri's
Jason Bodenhamer in fourth. Adrian, Missouri's David Turner holds down the
