MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA (June 28) - Brian Irvine made his third appearance of the
year at the Marshalltown Speedway for the 2010 season and for the third time
of the year; he ended the night in Victory Lane. Irvine used his outside 2nd
row starting spot to take the lead on lap 7 of the 30 lap main event and
didn’t look back after taking the lead to pick up the win on night number
one of the Great American Stock Car Shootout. Dustin Smith finished 2nd,
Damon Murty 3rd and Donavon Smith 4th. Heat race
winners were Abe Huls, Jay Schmidt, Brian Irvine, Trent Murphy, David Smith
and Donavon Smith. In
the Big 8 Tyre Center 20 lap main event Jenae Gustin led the first 3 laps
and then Cayden Carter led the rest of the feature. The 14 year old
sensation picked up his 4th win of the year at Marshalltown in
his Victory Chassis. Kyle Brown finished 2nd, Scott Davis 3rd
and Fred Leytham 4th. Nick Roberts, Dylan Book and Kyle Brown
each won heats. Todd
Reitzler won the caution heavy Junction Bar and Grill Hobby Stock event by
leading all 20 laps on the night. It ended up being his 2nd
straight win on the high banks. Michael Murphy was 2nd, Josh
Irvine 3rd and Curt Ganoe 4th. Michael Murphy, Curt
Ganoe and Eric Larson were the heat race winners. Make
