The first feature of the evening was the 15 lap Outlaw Hobby Stocks, with Beau

row start to grab the lead on lap 1, with Lynch and Rodger Dresden battling
close behind in second. Taylor would go on to lead all 15 laps and held off Jeff
Soper, who started tenth, on the final lap to claim his second win of 2006 at
Memphis. Dresden held on for third, Brian Howerton was fourth, with Lynch
holding on for fifth. Taylor and Soper each won a heat race.
Rick Sands and Daniel Robbins led the field to the drop of the green flag in the
12 lap USRA Hobby Stock feature. But it was fifth place starter Mike Shelton
quickly moving up to take the lead on lap 1, with sixth place starter Nathan
Wood following in second. Shelton and Wood put on another hotly contested battle
for the top spot throughout the 12 lap event. Shelton was able to hold off Wood
until he slipped high in turn two on lap 9, allowing Wood to get by for the
lead. Wood then held off Shelton over the final three laps to pick up his fourth
win in a row at the speedway. Bill Gibson would finish in third, Robby Sands was
fourth, with Rick Sands rounding out the top five. The heat race win also went
to Wood.
The 8 lap Hornet feature was up next, with Andrew Hustead and Brent Hartley

in second. Hartley would go on to lead all 8 laps to claim his second win of
2006 at the speedway. Hustead was second, J.D. Murphy was third, Cody Martin was
fourth, with Bill Young coming home in fifth. Hartley made it a clean sweep by

Up next was the 18 lap USRA Stock Car feature, with Ryan Cook and Eric Flander
making up the front row for the event. Flander made the most of his starting
spot to grab the lead on lap 1, with Cook and Colt Mather battling close behind
for second. Flander would only lead lap 1, as Mather slipped under him to take
over the top spot on lap 2. Mather continued to pace the field, as Zack
VanderBeek, who started seventh, and Jason Cook, who started tenth, were working
there way towards the front. VanderBeek would make his move into the lead on lap
9, as he over took Mather on the topside of the speedway. VanderBeek then held
the top spot until lap 11, when Jason Cook slipped under him to take over the
lead. Jason then held off VanderBeek over the final seven laps to claim his
second win in a row at Memphis. Mather held on for third, Flander was fourth,
with Ryan Cook rounding out the top five. Heat race winners were Mather and
VanderBeek.
Tom Bowen and Michael Browning drew the front row for the 15 lap Toni Dunker
Advance Trading USRA B-Modified feature, with Browning jumping into the lead on
the drop of the green flag. Browning would then hold off several challenges from
Tony Dunker on the final five laps to claim his first career B-Modified feature
win. Jeff Waterman came home third, Joe Hooper was fourth, with Larry Newman
coming home in fifth. Dunker and Waterman each picked up a heat race win.
The final feature of the evening was the 20 lap Bentz GM Country USRA Modifieds,
with Kevin Cale and Martin Bennett making up the front row. Cale moved out front
on the drop of the green flag, with Bennett close behind in second. Bennet would
slip under Cale on the second lap to take over the top spot and would pull away
from the field until a lap 16 caution. On the restart, Bennett once again
grabbed the lead, but now had Tony Fraise, who started sixth, battling him for
the top spot. Fraise would slip under Bennet on lap 18 and then held on for the
final two laps to pick up his fourth win of 2006 at Memphis. Mark Burgtorf would
