MEMPHIS, MO. (Oct. 5, 2006) - Top drivers throughout Mid-America will be converging for the Second Annual Memphis Nationals at the Pepsi Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, Missouri  Thursday through Saturday, October 12 – 14.  Last year 226 cars checked in to compete for top money and that many and more are expected this year.  The racing was spectacular.  Saturday’s races will be presented by Pizza Hut of Memphis. 

There will be a practice session starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, qualifying races will be run Thursday and Friday with last chance races and features Saturday.  There will be feature qualifying races each night. 

The Late Models will be racing two complete shows Friday and Saturday with Friday’s winner pocketing $2,000 and the Saturday winner $3,000. 

On Saturday’s finale the USRA Modifieds will be racing for a top prize of $5,000.  The USRA Stock Cars will be competing for $2,000, B-Modifieds $1,000, Outlaw Hobby Stocks $700, 9-1 USRA Hobby Stocks $600 and the Pony Stocks $300 to win. 

Gates open Thursday and Friday at 4 p.m., racing at 6 p.m.

Gates open Saturday at 3:00 p.m., racing at 5 p.m.

Grandstand tickets will be Thursday and Friday, adults $!2, 6-12 $3 and under five free. 

Tickets for Saturday will be adults $18, 6-12 $5 and under five free.
