Mid America Winged 305 Sprints 2007 News and Results Chad Huston Takes Third Win In 2007 by:  Ariel Alexander OSKALOOSA, IA (Aug 29) - The 2007 Mid-American 305's Season Championship race took place Wednesday night at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The field consisted of fifteen drivers from Iowa and Missouri. The oldest in attendance was Earl Tice in the 2T at 72 years young. The 16 lap feature took way with Tasker Phillips of Knoxville, Iowa taking the green flag and gaining lead. Phillips was working his way through lap traffic when on lap ten the red flag came out for Clint Leedom hitting the tire and flipping in turns one and two. Leedom walked away from the crash with a heavily damaged sprint car. With 6 laps left, Phillips took the green flag and in turn one Chad Huston made the pass for the lead. Restart Huston, Phillips, Mayberry, Breazealle. Lap eleven led to a yellow falg for Rob Kubli, Milo, Iowa rubbing the wall with no where else to go in turns one and two. Kubli walked away with minor damages to his sprint car but enough to end his night. Before the restart Tasker Phillips seemed to have a left rear tire going flat. Huston took the green on the restart and had a couple car lead on Phillips. On the last two laps Phillips tire seemed to build heat and came back up and he started to close in on the leader, Huston. Huston held his Leading position to win his third consecutive race in a row and three different tracks. Tasker Phillips took his second runner up position. Third went to the 2007 Season Championship points winner, Mike Mayberry. With a nine point lead over Chad Huston. Fourth place was taken by Steve Brazealle and fifth to Josh Padelford.
