DCS HIRES RACE DIRECTOR FOR BUTTON BUCK SPEEDWAY

SPRING VALLEY, MN (March 7th, 2009) - Deer Creek Speedway is proud to announce Dave Geerdes as Race Director for the Pepsi Slingshot classes that race on the smaller Button Buck Speedway located on the Deer Creek Speedway grounds. Dave comes to the speedway with past racing experience as a former driver and sponsor of many local racers. The Pepsi slingshots are spec race cars equally prepared and built by Speedway Entertainment, Slingshot by Tobias. As this class continues to grow the addition of Dave is exciting for Button Buck Speedway as he will be able to focus his time and energy in the growth and competition of this exciting class. Local Slingshot by Tobias dealer Action Engineering will have a tech day on March 21 at its shop in Rochester from 9 to noon. All slingshot competitors participating in racing action at the speedway must have their mandatory inspection done prior to any racing competition.

A practice is scheduled for Button Buck Speedway on April 18th from 1 to 4 with tech inspectors also on hand during the day to inspect the cars.

Button Buck Speedway is proud to be part of the Great Lakes Region for the Speedway Entertainment sanctioning. Regular season racing will begin on May 2nd at 2:00 pm, with racing each Saturday in May except May 23rd. For the months of June, July and August the racing action starts at 3:00 pm with racing every Saturday except August 1st. Button Buck Speedway will also hold National Point races as part of the Briggs and Stratton Slingshot by Tobias national Points on June 13 and 27th, July 18th and August 15th.

Button Buck Speedway is also proud to be part of the national tour on September 5th as drivers from across the country converge on the speedway to participate in the national event.
