Jackpot Junction Sprint Tour opens
with holiday weekend doubleheader
ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 16) – A Memorial Day Weekend doubleheader gets the
season started for the 13th annual Jackpot Junction Tour.
IMCA KSE Racing Products Sprint Cars are in action Saturday, May 23 at
Arlington Raceway and Sunday, May 24 at Redwood Speedway in Redwood Falls.
Both features pay $600 to win. IMCA national, Smiley’s Racing Products State
and local track points, as well as special series points, are at stake each
night.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. at Arlington.
Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. Redwood opens the pits at
3 p.m. and the grandstand at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at
5 p.m. and racing gets underway at 6 p.m.
Pit passes are $25 each night and grandstand admission is $12 for adults and
$5 for kids, with youngsters five and under getting in at no charge.

Thirty-two previous tour events at Arlington have seen 16 different drivers
in victory lane, led by Jason Tostenson with five wins. Curt Lund has
collected 11 of his career-leading 17 Jackpot checkers in the 28 events held
at Redwood.
Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel starts its 12th season as title sponsor of the
tour. Other IMCA sponsors giving contingency awards include Design 500
Racewear, Howards Cams & Racing Components, Isky Racing Cams, KSE Racing
Products, Probe Industries, Racing Optics, Schoenfeld Headers, The Joie of
Seating and Triple X Race Components.
