The Creek Readies for Spring Challenge

SPRING VALLEY, MN (May 16) - After not racing on Saturday May 16th due to cool temps and very low wind chills the crew at Deer Creek Speedway is busy preparing for the May 23rd A&A Electric & Underground Southern Minnesota Spring Challenge. This highly anticipated event brings out the drivers and cars from the United States Modified Touring Series to the speedway racing for a $2,000 winners purse along with the Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds racing for $400 to win. Also on the card for the night are the US Army WISSOTA Super Stocks racing for $600 to win. Due to the cancellation of this weekends racing the Pepsi Slingshots have also been added to the card for the May 23rd event.

Tickets for this exciting night of racing action can be bought in advance on-line at www.deercreekspeedway.com  or by calling 1-877-DCS-RACE until Thursday at 5:00 pm. These advance tickets are reserved seating and are available at $15.00 for adults and kids 12 and under $5.00 so reserve your seat today and save yourself a couple bucks in the process. Tickets at the gate will be available at $18.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids for general admission seating.

A special thanks to A&A Electric & Underground for their sponsorship of this event. Running in conjunction with this event will be the Miner's Outdoor and Rec Demo Day. Come check out their full line of Husqvarna power equipment and outdoor recreational vehicles under the big tent located in the front parking area at Deer Creek Speedway. The new tent will be used for different activities throughout the year and Miner's will be showing and allowing testing of their equipment from 10-4 at this location. Hang around for lunch for $2.00 or get lunch for free when testing a new piece of equipment.

The Creek will also be running its Memorial Day Weekend Happy Hour special with beer for $1.00 from 3:30 to 4:30 as everyone gets ready for the first green flag of the night.
