USMTS RETURNS TO BRAINERD FOR “BIG DADDY 37”

BRAINERD, Minn. (Jan. 11) – The Race Minnesota Modified Series (RACEMN), an open wheel modified racing series set to debut in 2010 at Central Minnesota race tracks, has reached a joint sanctioning and promotional agreement with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) to produce the Inaugural “Big Daddy 37” Labor Day Modified Extravaganza at North Central Speedway in Brainerd, Minn., on Monday, Sept. 6.

Open Wheel Modified fans will be treated to a show like no other with the combined effort of the regional RACEMN sanctioned three classes and the Modifieds of the USMTS National Tour battling for the season-long title in the Hunt for the USMTS National Championship.

“We had a great show with the USMTS in 2009 and found a way to really showcase them again with our partners at RACEMN,” stated North Central Speedway promoter Tim Boeder. “We want to put an exclamation point on the end of the season with the biggest Modified show the state of Minnesota will ever see.”

“Last year’s inaugural event at Brainerd was a big hit with drivers and fans alike,” said USMTS Marketing & Communications Director Jeff Nun. “It’s a top-notch facility in the center of a picturesque landscape. The drivers heaped praise on the facility and, in turn, gave the fans one of the best races we saw all season. We can’t wait to return.”

The North Central Speedway is a semi-banked 1/3-mile clay oval located 5 miles south of Brainerd at the junction of US 371 and Bus 371.
