Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown held off his brother, Timmy Montgomery, Saturday night to win the Sprint car feature at the St. Francois County Raceway

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 13, 2006) Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown held off his brother, Timmy Montgomery, Saturday night to win the Sprint car feature at the St. Francois County Raceway. Jason Keith of Fredericktown settled for third place with Steve Short of Farmington fourth and Tommy Worley Jr. of Farmington fifth. They were followed by Keith Burch, Bryan Matthews, Tom Dickerman, Curtis Boyer and Jimmy Hurley.

Jason Hunt won the first heat with Dickerman second and Kent Buckley third. Boyer won the second heat with Joey Montgomery second and Timmy Montgomery third. Worley won the third heat with Short second and Danny Long third. Short won the trophy dash with Joey Montgomery second and Worley third.

In the Modified class, Jeremy Greenwalt of Potosi finally picked up his first Modified feature win following numerous previous opportunities. Brent Thompson of Farmington settled for second place with Kasey Nations of Park Hills third, Randy Forster of Farmington fourth and Leo Kieffer of Perryville fifth. They were followed by Chris West, Don Luna, Dewayne Kieffer, Kasey Burch and Shannon Blair.

Mike Francis won the first heat race with Nations second and Tim Phares third. Burch won the second heat with Kenny Kennedy second and Matt Eaton third. Greenwalt won the third heat with David Shepard second and Kenny Harris third. Thompson won the "B" main with Luna second and Jeff Canterberry third.

In the Pure Street class, Mike Abney Jr. of Belgrade won the feature with Derek Shipman second, Josh DeSpain third, Rooster Griffin fourth and Bill Skaggs fifth. They were followed by Chris Boyd, Keith Kennon, Paul Warren (Warren's 8th place finish was quite miraculous considering he was involved in a flip during the heat races that tore down a major portion of the fence on the front straight during his heat race), Paul Dart and Josh Skaggs.

Pete Koenig won the first heat race with Mike Savage second and Travis Goodman third. Shipman won the second heat with Bill Skaggs second and Kennon third.

In the 600cc Multi class feature, Brad Greer picked up the checkered flag with Joey Boyd second, Rodney Williams third, Jimmy Bridgeman fourth and Matt Dotson fifth. They were followed by Joe B. Miller, Keaton Dobbs, Brian Keen, Brandon Nixon, and Mark Shirshekan.

Greer won the first heat with Dotson second and Williams third. Dobbs won the second heat with Ray Statler second and Ryan Kempin third.
