Worley Wins 5th Sprint Feature at SFCR

FARMINGTON, MO. - (August 5, 2006) - Tommy Worley Jr. of Farmington picked up his fifth sprint car feature win of the season Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway after holding off Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown for the win. Timmy Montgomery settled for third place with fourth going to Tom Dickerman and fifth to Bob Thoman. They were followed by Jason Hunt, Keith Burch, Steve Short, Robbie Standridge and Ryan Bunton.

Bunton won the first heat race with Thoman second and Burch third. Dickerman won the second heat with Hunt second and Tim Montgomery third. Joey Montgomery won the third heat with Worley Jr. second and Brett Samonds third. Worley also won the trophy dash with Joey Montgomery second and Thoman third.

David Shepard of DeSoto, Mo. won his first feature of the season at SFCR in the Modified class with Brent Thompson of Farmington second, Jeremy Greenwalt of Potosi third, Chris Boyd of Park Hills fourth and Matt Eaton of Park Hills fifth. They were followed by Dewayne Kieffer, Erik Edgar, Chris West, Derek Shipman and Joe Giesler. Shepard won the first heat with Kenny Kennedy second and Boyd third. Kasey Nations won the second heat with Thompson second and Shipman third. Mike Francis won the third heat with Randy Forster second and Joe Clark third. Kieffer won the "B" main with Greenwalt second and Eaton third.

In the Pure Street feature, Chris Boyd won his fourth feature of the season in that class while John Bohn of Farmington was second, Michael Abney of Belgrade third, Bill Skaggs of Bismarck fourth and Shane Blair of Potosi fifth. They were followed by Erik Sarakas, Mike Savage, Jason Brewington, Derek Shipman, and Greg Chilton. Keith Kennon won the first heat race with Boyd second and Josh Skaggs third. Savage won the second heat with Bill Skaggs second and Brian Henson third.
In the 600cc Multi regular feature, Jimmy Stearns of Makanda, Ill. picked up the checkered flag with Jimmy Bridgeman second, Brad Greer third, Rodney Williams fourth and Joe Miller fifth. They were followed by Joey Boyd, Ryan Kempin, Eric Ziegler, Brian Keen and Brandon Nixon. Stearns won the first heat with Bridgeman second and Mark Shirshekan third. Greer won the second heat with Williams second and Boyd third.

In the make-up feature ($1,000 to win from July 22), Brad Greer of Coulterville, Ill. was the winner with Stearns second, Bridgeman third, Boyd fourth and Ziegler fifth. They were followed by Shirshekan, Williams, Kempin, Miller, Bess and Lynda Blanke.
