“The Flyin’ Farmer” a book about Ken Essary’s 35 year racing career was
released Saturday night Aug. 19 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The book
contains stories from many people who were a part of Ken’s racing career,
including Roger Chism, Bill Frye, pit crew members, fans and more. There are
also many pictures and newspaper clippings from over the years.
The book was released in conjunction with Ken's induction into the "National
Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame" and the upcoming induction into the "Ozarks Area
Racing Hall of Fame."
The book will be available at all Show-Me Racin Series events the remainder of
the racing season. In addition, the book is available to purchase at Porter’s
Supermarket in Crane, MO.
