Speedway have released a tentative schedule for the upcoming 2006
racing season. Lebanon, Mo. (Jan. 8, 2006) - Officials at the Lebanon Midway Speedway have released a tentative schedule for the upcoming 2006 racing season. 6 Exciting classes will be competing each Friday Night with the Mighty Modifieds, Fastrak Late Models, Winged Sprint Cars, Super Stocks, factory Stocks and the always popular and exciting Bombers on the clay oval. 2 Early season practices will be scheduled as many new improvements have been taking place over the winter. New clay has been added and turns 3&4 have been redesigned along with the changing on the top groove all around the oval. The latest addition to the track has been the land behind the pits has been purchased and the pits are being redesigned to make more room for the 100 plus cars that graced the pits last season. A new HOTLANE to where a driver with a flat tire can quickly pull off and get changed and right back on the track and into action. New Restrooms for the drivers are being built over in the pits and there is even rumors about a drag strip in the upcoming years. The Speedway will start the season with a practice sessions on Sat Night March 25th and Friday Night March 31st for any drivers. The Practice sessions will last about 2 hours with action starting around 7:30 each night. Then on April 7th and 8th,the track will host the second annual Modified Madness with the winner of the 50 lapper receiving $6000 and $600 to start the 26 car field. Bombers will be racing on the Friday Night show with the Winged Warriors of the Midway Sprints cars battling on Sat Night for 500 to win and 100 to start. On Friday Night April 14th,the Season long points battle will begin as all 6 classes will take to the oval along with an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids 10 and under at Intermission. This weekend will also be the debut for the Fastrak Late Models as the championship battle begins in search of the National chase begins. The 1st Annual Fast Factory 50 will be held on April 21st and 22nd with $5,000 to the winner with $500 to start the 26 car field. Bombers will compete on Friday Night while the track is looking to host a Fastrak Midwest Regional Race on the Sat Night portion of this event. 3 special kids nights are scheduled again for those 10 and under with bike races on June 2nd and Sept.8th and a coin scramble is set for July 7th. The Speedway's Firework Spectacular is set for Friday Night June 30th and with the new land, the crowd will be able to set back and view without having to move. 3 double point nights are set as May 5th,June 16th, and Aug.4th will be those dates. With the overwhelming response from the Banquet, look for the drivers to be running extra hard those nights. 2 Powder puffs will be scheduled this season as May 12th and Aug.11th will see the ladies get the chance to race in elimination runoff races in cars. The always popular Enduro Races are on
the Friday Night schedule as 1 class will be given the night off
when Enduros compete. Dates for the Enduro shows are May 22nd,June
23rd,July 28th,Aug.25th and also on the Fall Brawl on Sept.22nd. This Season the Modifieds will be racing for $500 to win nightly, but if the car count is 20 or over, the winner will receive $600. Fastrak Late Models will be gunning for $500 to win while the Factory Stocks and Super Stocks race for 250 to win weekly. Bombers again run for 150 to win, but for those drivers finishing 10th and below, it will be $30 to start the feature event as the Factory Stocks will also receive and extra 5 to start from 10th and below.
Winged Sprints will again race weekly for 400 to win and 75 to
start, while the track is looking to host the 2nd annual Sprint
Challenge on Friday Night June 9th as sponsorship will pend on this.
It will be a regular track points race that night. This is a Tentative
Schedule and more dates are being added.' |
