Lebanon Midway Fall Brawl To Sanction Show-Me
Racin Series Late Models
by: Ronnie Williams
Lebanon, Mo. (March 20, 2006) - Officials from the Lebanon Midway Speedway and
the Show-Me Racin Series have come together and will sanction the Late Model
portion of the 2nd annual Coca-Cola Fall Brawl on Sept.22-23.
This 2 day event will pay 1500 to win the Late Model feature with a strong
payoff down the line.
"We looked at several things for the Late Model portion of this event and with
the growing number of cars along with our weekly Fastrak Late Models, this will
be a good show for the fans. quoted owner Harold Armstrong.
"Ken Essary has really done a nice job with this series and if you look at our
schedule this season, we have 2 MidWest Regional Fastrak Late Model events,1
challenge event, and 1 Show-Me Series event, so we are making it even for all.
The Show-Me Series has some strong drivers such as Ken Essary, Leslie Essary,
Kevin Henson. Rick LeBow, Conner Ward, and Mike Hailman who runs this track very
well and many others. With them mixing it up with our local Fastrak Drivers will
make for some interesting racing."
Last season the Midway hosted the Fall brawl and paid well over $45,000 in prize
money with record number of cars in all classes and a strong grandstand.
"We tried this deal and it worked out good for all involved as the Super Stock
winner received $1,000 to win, the Modifieds received $2,000,FactoryStocks were
paid $1500,Winged Sprints was 1250 and the Bombers 800 to win. We expect even
more cars this season.
Series Founder Ken Essary and crew were happy about being part of the Fall Brawl
and this will be a Show-Me Series points race for those drivers.
"The Midway is a fun place to run at, "Quoted Ken Essary. "Other than the
Spooker at Fort Smith, this will be one of our highest paying events. It is
really close to home base for several of our drivers, and with the Fastrak Cars
joining us not only for this race, but a couple of others, we will have a good
feel for each other."
