Lebanon Midway Working On 7500 To Win Super Late Model Special
LEBANON, MO. (Dec. 8, 2006) - Officials from the Lebanon Midway Speedway are
getting the final touched on a Special Super Late Model event on July 3rd paying
7500 to win and 750 to start with a 75 lap feature.
The Running of the Larry Philllips Cancer Memorial is set for a 1 night show
with 2-3 support classes dueling it out on the 3/8ths mile clay oval.
The Midway hosted 1 open MLRA Super Late Model event last season with
Springfield's Terry Phillips grabbing a 3 wide pass for the lead in taking the
win.
In other Open Late Model events, MLRA has been very strong at the Midway with
Alan Vaughn and Al Perky grabbing wins also.
"We looked at this last season about midseason to run and it looks as if the
final touches are getting put together.
The race will honor the Ozarks Living Legend 5 time Nascar Weekly Racing Series
Champion on his Birthday.
Track owner Harold Armstrong did a similiar deal during the last season that
I-44 was pavement in 2002 with a nice theme and Phillips in attendance.

The Speedway will open on April 6th&7th with the running of the 3rd Annual
Modified Madness paying $6,000 to win and $600 to start the 50 lap feature.
Other special events will include the 2nd Running of the Fast Factory Stock 50
with $5,000 to win and $500 to start on April 21&22nd.
The Show-Me Racin Series Late Models will visit the speedway at least 5-6 times
during the 2007 season and will help headline the 3rd Coke Fall Brawl in October
