Lebanon Midway Gearing-Up For A Big Season
LEBANON, Mo. (Dec. 12, 2006) - Officials at the Action packed Lebanon Midway
Speedway are gearing-up for an action packed 2007 season.
The season will start on Easter weekend April 6th and 7th with the running of
the 3rd annual Modified Madness with the winner capturing a $6,000 to win check
while just making the field promises $600 to start the 50 lap feature. Friday
Night will feature Modified Qualifying heats, pole dash, and Qualifying feature
as 14 cars will lock-in. Action will also included Super Stocks and Bombers
while Sat Night will feature 305 Winged Sprints along with the final qualifying
spots for the Modified Main.
Point battles will begin April 13th with regular racing in SuperStocks,305
Winged Sprints, Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Bombers, and B-Mods.
Then on April 20th and 21st the 2nd annual Fast Factory 50 will see the winner
pocket $5,000 to win while it pays $500 to start. Friday Night action will see
Bombers and SuperStocks while Sat action will feature the 1st appearance of the
fan favorite Show-Me Racin Series LateModels.
The Speedway will host at least 2 O'Reilly Autoparts MLRA Super Latemodel events
with the 1st Larry Phillips Shootout on July 3rd with a 75 lap LateModel Feature
paying $7500 to win and $750 to start featuring NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace and
possibly 2 other Nascar stars. Support classes that evening will include
Modifieds and Bombers. This event will honor the Ozarks Living Legend on his
Birthday.
The Speedway is looking at another MLRA event in May.
July 20th will feature the 3rd AMSOIL Challange with $1,000 going to the winner
of the 305 Sprint Cars.
The Show-Me Racin Series Late Models will be part of the Midway at least 5 times
including the 3rd Coca-Cola fall Brawl to end the season.
Enduro racing will highlight the track at the end of each month starting in May
as locals get a chance to run in selected events.
Also Kids events include the Easter Egg Hut April 6th(Opening Night),2 Bike
Races and a coin scramble along with local activities such as the 2nd running of
the race for the Purple Crown on Labor Day Weekend as the track and local Cancer
relay for life teams raise money to help fight Cancer.
Season Championship battles will close on Sept.14th as the track gears-up for
season ending specials.
New this season will be a go-kart track running on Sat evenings along with
events such as the National Flat Track Motorcycle Series on June 2nd.
Friday Night action will always begin at 8PM while Sat Night events start racing
at 7:30.
