Powers Takes Modified Feature at Poplar Bluff

Bluff, Mo. (March 25, 2006) - Robert Powers of Campbell drove his #02 modified
to victory lane during the feature Saturday night at the Poplar Bluff Speedway.
Austin Matthews of Dexter was second with Todd Clifford of Paragould, Ark.
third, Brad Buck of Paragould fourth and Tony Anglin of Walnut Ridge, Ark.
fifth. They were followed by Jeremy Russell, Shane Moody, Gary Beard, Charles
Beard and Mark Melloy. Chris Baker of Atwood, Tenn. was the winner of the "B"
main with Justin McBroom second and Erik Edgar third.
In the UMP Late Model feature, Joey Mack of Benton captured the checkered flag
with Steve Rushin of Poplar Bluff second, Chris Jones of Neelyville third, Billy
Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark. fourth and Jordan Jones of Beebe, Ark. fifth. They
were followed by Bobby Prosise, Dewayne Brooks, Johnny Stephens, Billy Hopkins,
and Mark Jordan.
In the Super Street (hobby) feature, Jerry Buck of Paragould, Ark. was the
winner with Tony Anglin of Walnut Ridge, Ark. second, Jared Wagster of Scott
City third, Claudie Cook of Portageville fourth and Jason Pennington of Qulin
fifth. They were followed by Tim Winchester, Harold Sullivan, Paul Reeder,
Jonathan Burkheart and Chris Cannon.
In the Pure Street feature, Johnny Houart of Gideon captured first place with
Steve Carter of Trumann, Ark. second, Robert Williams of Van Buren third, Greg
Casey of Bertrand fourth and Steve Forsythe of Cooter fifth. They were followed
by Aaron Darby, Michael Lack, Coot Wilson, Robert King and Rob Lee.
In the Dwarf car feature, Brad Paquet of High Ridge was the feature winner with
John Leahy of Ironton second, Mike Zaricor of Farmington third, Nelson McMikle
of Charleston fourth and Mike Poyner of Charleston fifth. They were followed by
Jeff Asher, Dom Wadlow, Ryan Poyner, Thelma Carter and Dale Gaebler.
In the Cruiser class feature, Prince/Prince of Corning, Ark. captured the
checkered flag with Luke/Gulliot of Cardwell second, Pittman/Graham of
Somerville, Tenn. third, Wilson/Carlisle of Chaffee fourth and Leach/Leach of
Corning, Ark. fifth. They were followed by Wayne/Harbrueger, Bland/Bland, Rigdon/Rigdon,
Stephens/Stephen, and Brown/Austin.
This Friday, March 31st will be an all class practice. Then on Saturday (April
1), the TUSA Dwarf Car race ($2,000 to win) will be held with all other classes
participating.
