Standridge Wins Sprint Feature at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. (June 10, 2006) - Robbie Standridge returned to the St. Francois County Raceway Saturday night and shined brightly in winning the sprint car feature. Standridge started from the pole in the feature and held off an extremely talented group of racers during the 25-lap feature event to pick up the victory. Brandon Wimmer (once again filling in for Tommy Worley Jr.) captured second place with Joey Montgomery third, Timmy Montgomery fourth and Jimmy Hurley fifth. They were followed by A.J. Bruns, Keith Burch, Jason Hunt, Billy Smith and Kenny Hambrick.

Joey Montgomery won the first heat with Wimmer second and Bruns third. Tim Montgomery won the second heat with Smith second and Wade Seiler third. Hurley won the third heat with Standridge second and Hambrick third. Jason Keith won the fourth heat with Burch second and Dustin Barks third. Dustin Adams won the "B" main with Tom Dickerman second. Standridge won the trophy dash with Hurley second and Joey Montgomery third.

In the Modified class feature, Brent Thompson of Farmington was the winner with Billy Smith second, Kasey Burch third, Matt Eaton fourth and Kenny Kennedy fifth. They were followed by Adam Parmeley, Kasey Nations, Doug DeClue, Jeremy Greenwalt and Randy Forster.

Smith won the first heat with Burch second and Forster third. Thompson won the second heat with Eaton second and Greenwalt third. Kennedy won the third heat with Nations second and Parmeley third.

In the Pure Street class, Michael Abney of Belgrade continued his dominance with yet another feature win while John Bohn was second, Mike Savage third, Bill Skaggs fourth and Dave Wofford fifth. They were followed by Travis Goodman, Keith Kennon, Josh DeSpain, Josh Skaggs and Eric Sarakas.

Bohn won the first heat with Chris Boyd second and Rooster Griffin third. Abney won the second heat with Savage second and Bill Skaggs third.

In the 600cc Multi class feature, Joey Boyd of Farmington won his third feature of the season at SFCR with Brad Greer second, Jimmy Bridgeman third, Joe Miller fourth and Rodney Williams fifth. They were followed by Brandon Nixon, Michael Bustamante, Ryan Kempin, Eric Ziegler and Lynda Blanke.

Greer won the first heat with Miller second and Kempin third. Boyd won the second heat with Bridgeman second and Rodney Williams third.

This Saturday night racing at SFCR will continue with the conclusion of the Missouri/Illinois Speed Week with the sprint feature paying $2,000 to win. It's also J-98 Radio Night and Plaza Tire Night.
