Lucas Oil Speedway Adjusts August & September Schedule
WHEATLAND, MO (Aug. 3, 2006) - Officials at the Lucas Oil Speedway are
announcing some adjustments to the upcoming events scheduled in August and
September. Three weekly events originally scheduled on Thursday nights will be
canceled. Those dates are August 3rd, August 24th and Thursday night September
24th. Commenting on the cancellation of these three nights, General Manager Gary
Hubert says “the weather here has just been too hot and it will just be hard on
our weekly racers to be here on these Thursday nights”.
In addition, the USMTS two day show scheduled for August 11th and 12th will also
be canceled. A combination of hot weather and the high cost of fuel where the
factors that prompted the USMTS officials and the officials at the Lucas Oil
Speedway to make this decision. “We are working with Todd and his staff at the
USMTS office to find a good date this fall to replace these events” Stated
Hubert.
We will race on Saturday night August 12th when we will feature the INEX Legend
Dirt Cars, National Qualifier, with the Miller Lite Modifieds, Limited Late
Models, Chester Fried Chicken B-Mods, Lucas Oil Factory Stocks and Pure Stocks
plus the Outlaw Figure 8”s
The other schedule adjustment will be on September 2nd. The Lucas Oil Pro
Pulling League event that was rained out on June 17th has been rescheduled for
Saturday night September 2nd.
