Lebanon Midway Announces Rumble In The Ozarks Late Model Challange
LEBANON, MO. (March 1, 2007) - The Race Brothers Show-Me Racin Series Late Models and The Touring MidWest Fastrak Late Models will meet head to head at the Lebanon Midway Speedway on Friday Night Aug 17th in the 1st Annual Rumble In The Ozarks in a $1500 to win and 300 to start Late Model A Feature.
Over a year ago,an exhibition feature between the battle of these two series was held at the LebanonMidway with each running there normal rules as Ken Essary came home the winner of that event.
The Rumble In The Ozarks has both series getting ready for bragging rights as this will be point events for both.
Newly named Fastrak MidWest Director Eric Rudd and Show-Me Series founder Ken
Essary have been able to work this event out for the best of both Series.
The Fastrak LateModels which feature GM Crate Motors will be able to run 100 Lbs
less than normal as the Show-Me Series drivers which feature a spec motor will
be running normal rules also.
"We wanted to bring it to the place were it really began at Midway."quoted Ken Essary
"The Midway isn't all about horsepower,its about chassis set-up and driving ability and this will be a tough feature to make as several drivers should be on hand that night."
Fastrak which offers its drivers a large point fund for the weekly or
regional racer at the end of the season will have this race listed as one event
not to miss.
Regional director Eric Rudd,who was on hand when the Show-Me Cars and Fastrak
Cars meet for the first time is very excited about this event.Rudd who had Ed
Dixon driving his car for that race saw just how close these 2 series drivers
are and feels the fans will be the big winner overall.
Also scheduled that evening is regular point shows for the A Mods,SuperStocks,FactoryStocks,Bombers and 305 Winged Sprints.
