I-70 Speedway adds Event to the Dirt Track Schedule
Odessa, MO (March 25, 2007) “ We were so disappointed about having to postpone
last Saturdays USMTS event and we really want to see some racing on the new Dirt
Track so, we decided to put an race together for this coming Saturday” comments
Brad McDonald, owner at I-70 Speedway. “We did everything we could to save last
Saturdays race, we worked the track from noon on Friday until 3:00 am on
Saturday morning”. “We just had too much rain”. “We had a lot of people out here
helping, it was not for a lack of effort and I want to thank all of those people
for their long hours and hard work”, some additional comments from McDonald.
And, with that said, there will be a race event this Saturday, March 31st, on
the Dirt Track at I-70 Speedway. Pit Gate and Admission Gate will open at Noon.
Hot Laps begin at 2:00 pm with racing to follow. Admission prices will be $10.00
for adults (12 and up), $5.00 for children (6 to 11) with children 5 and under
admitted for free. Pit Passes will be $20.00. Rain date for this event will be
Sunday April 1st.
Scheduled to compete are the Modifieds, Stock Car/Street Stocks and the SportMod/B-Mods.
This event for the Modifieds will be the “Fitzpatrick Memorial” originally
scheduled for March 25th at the Grand River Speedway. Rules for the Modified
race will be, “run what you brung”. The Modified feature event will pay $400.00
to win, $75.00 to start.

Valley Speedway rules and will be racing for $250.00 to win, $30.00 to start.
SportMod/B-Mods will also be allowed to race based on the IMCA/I-70, CMS and
Valley Speedway rules with there feature event paying $250.00 to win and $30.00

Stock Car/Street Stock and SportMod/B-Mod drivers must bring a copy of either
CMS or Valley rules for their respective classes.
Also on tap for Saturday afternoon will be hot lap sessions for the Sprint Cars
(no wings allowed). “With six Sprint Car events scheduled for the Dirt Track, we
wanted the drivers to have a chance to get on the track and we wanted the fans
to see a preview of what the Sprint Car action will be”, commented Brad
McDonald.
And if that is not enough, officials at the Asphalt Track at I-70 Speedway will
conduct a Saturday afternoon Test and Tune session for the ASA Late Models,
Super Trucks, Super Stocks, Dash Cars and Enduros. Pit Gate will open at 11:00
