Lebanon Midways Modified Madness Cancelled
LEBANON, MO. (April 12) - The running of the 3rd Annual Modified Madness at
the Lebanon Midway Speedway has been cancelled this weekend with the upcoming
weather conditions.
"This was a tough decision as we expected a big field of Modifieds for this
event, but with the rising cost of fuel for both the fans and drivers and the
great chance of having to cancel by 10 AM on Friday we decidied to pull the plug
now instead of having drivers start to pull down here and then turn around and
go home."quoted owner Harold Armstrong.
"The phone has been almost non-stop with drivers from 7 different states looking
at coming in this weekend. We will try to see if we can't work it into our
schedule later this season, but with alot of drivers already point racing at the
local tracks it makes it hard to reset."
