Three Drivers Repeat on “Five Dollar Friday”

ODESSA, MO (June15) – Racing continues to be some of the most competitive in the metro area on Friday nights at I-70 Speedway, the Dirt Track.  “These guys and Gal are truly racing hard and putting on a great show”, commented track owner, Brad McDonald.  “And, the most important part is everybody is having fun”, concluded McDonald.  This weeks event produced three repeat winners and two new winners in the five classes that competed.

In the IMCA Modifieds, Mike Tanner in the #20t made it two in a row in as many weeks as he raced to the checkered flag fist. Challenging Tanner on every lap was the 22Y of Yancy Shepard, the 26ss Steven Glenn, 93s Chad Shaw, 12c Merrill Crose, 92 Jim Peeler and the #10 of Johnny McGinnis.

The IMCA Stock Cars had a new winner in Victory Lane as Jason Anderson in the 714 car lead the field at the end.  Following Anderson was last weeks winner, #12 Russell Walter, x9 Brad Whitney, 86 Gary Foxworthy, 11t Bennie Turner, 1 Curtis Shaner, 97 Travis Taylor, b7 Roger Millward and the #50 of Curtis Morrison.

Last weeks feature winner in the IMCA SportMods also did it again this week.  Matt Marrant in the 69 won a great race followed by the 77 of John Miller, 70 David Willey and the 23 driven by Chad Walter.

Jessica Clemons also made it two in a row in the Sport Compacts but, had to borrow a car to get it done.  After hitting the front stretch wall during her qualifying heat race, starting in the rear, Jessica still lead the field to the checkered flag.  Behind Jessica was the k2 of Vince Jasper and the 33 of Jason Marrant.

In the “Caribbean Cowboy” Bar B Q Sauce Farm Truck division, the #4 driven by Brandon Box was this week’s feature winner.  Following Brandon was the 911 truck of Richard Scott and the #13 of Paul Harphan.

Next action on the dirt track will be Saturday night, June 16^th, as the DCRA Dwarf Cars / Mod Lites will compete along with the I-70 Speedway Sprint Cars.  Hot Laps on the dirt track will start at 8:00 with Racing at 9:00.
