#7 Wins on 7-7-07 at I-70 Speedway
by: Chuck Stowe
ODESSA, MO (July 7, 07) – “Two for One Saturday” at I-70 Speedway was the value
of the season as Toyota Trucks and Budweiser presented an a fun filled Saturday.
Starting with Toyota Trucks paying cars to park and concluding with the areas
best fireworks display and of course, exciting racing on both the Asphalt and
Dirt Tracks.
Both Toyota and Budweiser provided fun, fan friendly displays that allowed fans
to get close to their products, ask questions and interact with these displays.
Also on hand with displays was Terry Franz representing “Cars for Christmas” and
the metro area Cobra Car Club.
On the Dirt Track, the featured class for Saturday was the Show-Me Vintage
Racing Series. These cars take us back in the day and provide race fans with
hard charging, “rubin is racin” action. It was very fitting that on July 7th,
2007 the #7 Vintage car of Odessa’s own, Mickey Fleehart was first to take the
checkered flag. I-70 Speedway veteran driver Kenny Price battled for second with
Dale Riese followed Price for third. Behind Riese was the 14 of Ron Lutes, 3b
Allan Broers, 28 Mickie Cook, 6 Lance Walker, 11m Mark Price, 25 Jeff Coleman,
24 Mike McDowell, 57 Larry Moulin and the #52 driven by Jack Tanner.
Action continues on the Dirt Track, next Friday night with “Five Dollar Friday”
featuring IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, Spot Compacts and
“Caribbean Cowboy Barbeque Sauce” Farm Truck racing. Pit Gates open at 5:00,
