LEBANON, MO (July 31) - The battle between the spec type LateModel Series of the Show-Me Racin Series and the Midwest Fastrak Series scheduled for Aug.17 called Rumble In The Ozarks has been cancelled due to conflicting interest.

"It's really a shame as this event was scheduled to pay 1500 to win and 300 to start, but both series couldn't agree on the qualifying procedure for the event"quoted Midway owner Harold Armstrong.

"When they approached the track about this event,we told them to be able to agree on the rules that were going to be used and how the racers were going to be able to make the event."Both Series use different Tires and weight rules, but it seemed as if they would be able to make that work. When it came to making the event and racing there way in,there seemed to be some issues and the track would step in and set up the procedures, but it didn't seem as if there was going to be a common ground so instead we will run a regular points show that night for our normal classes."

Part of racing is how your going to make the feature and putting on a good show for the fans. This was going to cause some issues,so the best solution is to call off the event."

LebanonMidway had the 1st ever trial on putting the Show-Me Cars and MidWest Fastrak Cars together using there current rules and provided a very interesting race for the fans back in 2005.
