This Week at I-70 Speedway

ODESSA, MO (Oct 8) – Drivers planning to compete at I-70 Speedway during the
“October Series” can practice on the 3/8 mile, D shaped oval this Wednesday
night. Wednesdays practice will be open to all classes of cars and will begin at
4:00 pm and run until 8:00. Admission price for the practice is $10.00, for
anyone entering the pit or restricted area, Grandstand admission is Free.
Saturday October 13th will be round two of the “October Series”, which will run
every Saturday through out the month of October. This Saturday Night will
feature the I-70 Speedway Sprint Cars, Modifieds, Dwarf Cars / Mod Lites and
Farm Trucks. Rules for the Sprint Cars are simple; 1) Full size Sprint Car and
2) No wings. Rules for the Modifieds will be area track rules, such as; CMS,
Valley, etc. DCRA rules will apply for the Dwarf Car / Mod Lites and the Farm
Trucks will run under the I-70 rules. Drivers competing in the Modified class
must bring a copy of their home track rules for pre and post race inspections.
On Saturday, Pit Gates will open at 3:00 pm; Admission Gates will open at 4:00.
Driver registration will close and Hot Laps will begin at 4:30. Racing will
start at 5:15 pm. Admission prices for adults will be $8.00; Children 6 to 12
will be $5.00. Children 5 and under will be admitted for free. Pit Passes will
be $20.00 and there will be no entry fee to compete. Persons being admitted to
the pit area must be 14 years old or older and persons under 21 must have a
parent present to complete a “Minors Waiver and Release” form.
Sprint Car Purse will be: 1) 500.00, 2) 400.00, 3) 300.00, 4) 200.00, 5) 180.00,
6) 120.00, 7) 110.00, 8) 100.00, 9) 90.00, 10) 80.00, 11) on out 75.00
Modified Purse will be: 1) $400.00, 2) $300.00, 3) $225.00, 4) $200.00, 5)
$160.00, 6) $150.00, 7) $130.00, 8) $120.00, 9) $110.00, 10) $90.00, 11) $80.00,
12) on out $75.00.
