Lebanon Midway With New Owners In 2008-Staying Friday Nights LEBANON, Mo. (Nov 18) - In an official announcement today, the Lebanon Midway Speedway will have new owners for the 2008 racing season as Lebanon Businessmen Jack Jones and Tony Jackson Jr have purchased the Speedway from Owner and builder Harold Armstrong and will keep the action going on Friday Nights. Jones who is a Coldwell Banker Realestate agent and Jackson Jr who owns Outlaw Racing Engines have competed on the Midway in the past 3 season .Jones an A-Mod Racer and Jackson who runs both A-Mods and Late Models will see themselves in different roles on Friday evenings in Lebanon. "We will run the same regular classes this season as Harold had set which include Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, A-Mods, B-Mods, Bombers and 305 Winged Sprints for the Friday night programs." quoted Jack Jones. "Harold has built a great thing on Friday Nights here in Lebanon, and we want to keep it going. Several of the Midway staff will be returning to help us out. We are going to be putting together our 2008 schedule here before long, but we plan on opening up in early April with the regular racing season." Jones who has finished up in the top of the A-Mod standings the last 2 seasons has also won the best appearing car award, while Jackson Jr won the Super Stock 2005 title along with the 2006 A-Mod title at the Midway. "Rules will stay about like they were when Harold posted them except in the B-Mods were the maxim compression for all makes of motors is 11.1 to 1 and the Chevrolet blocks must be a 350 block." "The changes in the Bombers is they can run any size fuel cell, No Aluminum intakes, but a Marine intake may be used, No right rear beadlock, no air pressure rule and expect a rear percentage rule of around 47%.
