SuperClean Diamond Nationals: May 9-10, 2008

WHEATLAND, MO (Dec 19) - Every road leads somewhere and that statement is just about as obvious as telling you where “The Road to Wheatland” ends. Of course it ends in Wheatland, Missouri but in the minds of dirt late model racers and fans, they should probably change the town’s name to the Emerald City.

They call it the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” and it rises out of the Southwest Missouri plain like Oz on the horizon. It is the palace that Forrest Lucas built but there is no smoke and mirrors here, no little man pulling levers behind a curtain, simply the nicest dirt track in the Nation. It is the true destination of Jasper Engines’ Road to Wheatland; it is the Lucas Oil Speedway and The 2nd Annual SuperClean Diamond Nationals.

It’s already billed as one of the biggest and best dirt late model races in the country and now thanks to SuperClean it’s even bigger. For 2008 the SuperClean Diamond Nationals will boast one of the largest dirt track racing purses in the country including a $40,000 check to the winner. "Everyone at SuperClean is very excited about the new partnership we have started with Team Lucas. SuperClean has a deep automotive heritage with drivers and enthusiasts so it's a natural fit for us to be part of the Road to Wheatland and sponsor the Diamond Nationals," says Kraig Reash, COO of SuperClean Brands, Inc.

Last season at this event, the racecar and fan counts were tremendous. In fact, the last time the Lucas Oil Late Models visited, the track broke an attendance record as almost 7,000 die hard race fans packed the speedway nearly to capacity. Another two million plus from around the country viewed the taped broadcast on SPEED CHANNEL and the Versus Network. The 2008 event will also be a nationally televised race.

Track General Manager Kevin Greven said he and his entire staff are excited to once again welcome the racers and fans from the Jasper Engines’ Road to Wheatland, HOME to the Lucas Oil Speedway and the SuperClean Diamond Nationals.
