Traveling USMTS Series Begins Championship Chase At Lebanon Midway

LEBANON, MO (August 3)- One of the more popular touring Series the O'Reilly USMTS Modified Touring Series will begin the chase for the National Championship Friday night Aug 8 at the Lebanon Midway Speedway.

The Midway now in its 4th full season of local and traveling series action on the tight 3/8th mile dirt oval will be a neutral ground for the chase in the Hunt as USMTS and Officials are excited for there first visit to the Action Track of the Ozarks.

Heading the pack and coming off a win last weekend will be 8 time national champion Kelly Shryock of Iowa,defending National champion Jason Krohn of Minn,Greg Hughes of Oklahoma,Johnny Bone Jr of Arkansas,Jon Tesch of South Dakota,The A-train Al Henja of Iowa,Zack Vanderbeek of Iowa, Former coca-Cola Fall Brawl Champion Justin Boney of Leavenworth, Kansas,Johnny Allen of Chanute, Kansas and many others.

Ecpected entries for the local area racers include 2005 Midway Champion Jamie Ragland of Lebanon,2007 Midway Champion Eric Hudson of Rolla,2006 I-44 USRA Champion Justin Neuman of Crocker,2006 Midway Modified champion Tony Jackson Jr of Lebanon,Central Missouri standout Eric Turner of Hermitage,Rex Merritt of Billings,Steve Muilenburg of Sparta and LateModel stars Terry Phillips of Springfield and Jeremy Payne of Springfield as they compete for the $2,000 to win prize money.

"We have had many different types of specials at Midway and this should rank up with the best show ever."quoted owner and promoter Jack Jones."Midway has provided excellent close action this season and this will even raise the bar as 40 or more Modifieds are expected to be on hand.This will be like the old western shootout days where the out of town drivers ride into the area and tangle with the local standouts.

Support Classes will include the FactoryStocks,SuperStocks, and Bombers as they compete for track points.

Gates will open at 5 with Racing to start at 8PM Sharp.Admission for Friday night will be $15 for the Grandstands for 11 and up while kids 10 and under are Free.Pitpasses will be $30.
