O'Reilly USCS sprint cars, Rislone USCS Modifieds and Big Bonuses headline Missouri State Championship weekend at Malden Speedway on Friday and Saturday September 12th and September 13th MALDEN, MO (Sept 8) - An O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series "Outlaw Thunder" Tour presented by Lucas Oil winged sprint cars and Rislone USCS (Open Wheel) Modified Series double-header headlines the racing action in the 5th Annual Missouri State Championship Races scheduled for this Friday and Saturday nights, September 12th and 13th at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri The two United Speed Contest Sanction series will be joined by the Fastrak Late Models and all weekly Malden Speedway divisions including Hobby, Street Stock, E-MODS and Mini Stocks. Each division will compete for its own Missouri State Championship over the two action-packed days of racing around the 3/8 mile Southeastern Missouri clay oval track. Fans will be treated to over 300 laps of racing and over 200 laps of main events in seven of the area's most popular divisions during the Missouri State Championship weekend. Drivers in five divisions are scrambling for rides in more than one class of race car as huge bonuses have been posted by Malden Speedway management for any driver who can win multiple Missouri State Championships on Saturday night. A $5000 bonus has been posted for any driver who can win the Missouri State title race in three "featured "divisions including the Rislone USCS Modified Series, Fastrak Late Models and the Malden Hobby division on Saturday, September 13th. Additionally a $1000 bonus has been posted for any driver who can collect a win in two of five divisions competing over the weekend. Those divisions that also compete weekly at Malden Speedway are the Fastrak Late Models, Rislone USCS Modifieds, and Malden Hobby, Malden Street Stock or Malden E-Mod classes. Friday night's racing action will include a full racing program for the O'Reilly USCS Sprint Car Series presented by Lucas Oil featuring drivers from at least six states competing in the Lucas Oil Power Dash, the sprint car qualifying heat races and main events. That field will include former Missouri State Champions, Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas (2000) and six-time O'Reilly USCS National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee (2001). Also in the field will be previous Malden Speedway winners Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas (2007) and Tim Montgomery from Fredericktown, Missouri. Crawley drives for 2002 Missouri State Champion, Mike Ward. The mighty open wheel modified of the Rislone USCS Modified Series will also compete in a complete program that includes the Rislone Dash and qualifying heat races, before completing their evening with a main event that will pay $600 to the winner of that 20-lap feature race. Top Open Wheel Modified drivers from at least five states have pre-entered for this event. On Friday night, the Fastrak Late Models, Malden Hobby, E-Mods Pure Street and Mini Stock divisions will contest all of their qualifying races as well. Saturday's racing format features another full Championship racing program for the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series including the Lucas Oil Power Dash and qualifying heat races concluding with a 30-lap $2000 to win finale. The Rislone USCS Modifieds also contest another full racing program including preliminaries and the Missouri State Championship race will be for 25-laps with $1200 going to the winner. Additionally on Saturday State Race Championship Finals featuring their B-Main and A-Main Championship races and compete for the posted bonuses. The pit gates open at 4:00pm on Friday with the grandstand spectator section opening at 5;30pm. Racing action on Friday night kicks off at the normal time of 7:30pm. Saturday Championship round times are a little earlier with the pit area opening at 3:00pm, grandstands at 5:00pm and the first race is at 7:00pm.
