MALDEN, MO (March 20) - Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas led the 3rd Bootheel 200 Pole Qualifying Night events for the Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series at Malden Speedway on Friday night. Rasdon set the fastest time in the one-lap Comp Cams Time Trials for the open wheel modifieds with a lap of 16.56 seconds around the newly re-worked and re-clayed 3/8 mile oval. Rasdon bested fellow Arkansan and team-mate, Jeff Greene also from Jonesboro, Arkansas by 22/100ths of a second for the honors after Greene turned a 16.78 seconds best lap.

Rasdon then completed his night by winning the 12-lap Aero Race Wheels First Qualifying Race. He will start on the pole of the 8-lap Rislone (Oil Stabilizer) Power Dash www.rislone.com that determines the final starting order for the 30-lap main event on Saturday night. Local favorite Scott Burge from Puxico, Missouri followed Radon in second place. Bart Richardson from Bradford, Tennessee took advantage of the situation and rolled past to take the checkered flag in first place. Brad Buck from Paragould, Arkansas followed Richardson to the line with Rookie Danny Gentry in the third position. Mike Palasini, Jr. claimed the final transfer in this one. Tim Radford from Piedmont, Missouri who spun earlier in the race, recovered to complete the top five.
