SPRINGFIELD, MO (March 20) - The Springfield Raceway has announced that they will sanction with the USRA For the A-Modified Division for 2009. This gives the Modified drivers in Southwest Missouri 3 tracks to compete at and a chance to compete for a National Title as Lebanon Midway Speedway provides Friday night action, Springfield Raceway for Sat Nights and Monett Speedway for Sunday Night. The USRA takes a drivers best 20 finishes and compiles points to claim a National Champion. Headed by USMTS owner Todd Staley, the USRA provides the weekly racer a chance at staying close to home and competing against drivers from all over with a structured point system and guidelines. Over 25 Tracks currently sanction with the American Racer Tire USRA with 9 different states represented. Each track has a point fund for the USRA Modifieds with the home office out of Webster City, Iowa. They currently sanction 9 different Racing classes with a set of structured rules for each class.
