Springfield Raceway To Host Missouri Heroes On Opening Race

SPRINGFIELD, MO (April 20) - The Springfield Raceway will be opening the
2009 Race season in style Sat night April 25th as the Show-Me Racin Series
Late Models will help headline the racing events.
The popular Missouri based-regional traveling series provides close racing
and strong car counts in the Late Model Division class. The feature will pay
$1,000 to the winner with drivers starting the feature event receiving $300.
Also in action will be the high-horsepower of the USRA Modifieds, Bombers,
Sport-Mods and Legend Cars as the chase for the 2009 Championship will
begin.
Jerry Hoffman & Doug Bland, owners of the Springfield Raceway, would like to
invite all Law Enforcement, Firefighters and EMTs , for a night out at the
races on Saturday April 25, 2009. Springfield Raceway is a ¼ mile clay oval
racetrack that races 5 classes of stock cars every Saturday night. All you
need to do is show proof of employment and receive free general admission.
Springfield Raceway is located off exit 75, ½ mile west of I-44, just south
of West Kearney on West Gate Rd (Farm Rd 123). Hot laps start at 5:15p.m.
