Pitstop Competition Helps Highlight Midway Racing Events

LEBANON, MO (August 11) - As the championship chase heads down the backstretch at the Lebanon Midway Speedway Friday night the final pitstop competition will be held with $100 going to the winning team during the intermission break.

During these added attractions of letting the people behind the scenes display their talents, the pitstop competition has yet to have a repeat winner as last month Myron McDowell and his Late Model Sportsman team won the extra cash by setting the fastest time overall and was able to pull-off the win despite having to push the car out of the pit box.

Action this week at the Midway will feature the USRA Modifieds,LateModelSportsman,Bombers,B-Mods, and Purestocks racing.

Going into this Friday night's action,Donnie Fellers and Justin Neuman remain on to of the USRA Modified Standings as Rusty Dukes displayed a dominating feature performance.

The LateModelSportsman class will find the Newell family on top of the standings as Ben Newell heads the point pack with previous winner JC Newell still in striking distance as JC snapped the 6 race streak of son Ben.Bradley McDowell is enjoying one of his best seasons to date holding a close third in the standings.

The B-Mods will find Mickey Burrell on top of the standing after borrowing Greg Strong's car to keep in the points race while Josh Woody fell back in the talley still holds on in second place while Tyler Brown has been on th climb upward.Burrell's lead has grown to a 42 point lead, but one bad night by the leader and a good finish by Woody will change things around.

The Bombers still has Joe Francis as the leader dispite problems last week as last weeks winner Shawn Strong starts to cut away as Brandon Waters still sets a solid third.

The PureStocks provide the closest battle as Les Hayes only holds a 12 point lead over Lebanon's Adam Lowrance as the class provides a sit on your edge seat feature.

The FactoryStocks are off this week while Bob Gustin holds the top spot over Donnie Miller.

Gates open at 5 with hotlaps at 7 and Racing at 8PM sharp.

Next Week Friday Aug 21,Doctor Danger is currently scheduled to appear with his unique style of car stunts of danger.
