Winged  Outlaw Warriors Return to West Plains

TIPTON, MO (August 14) - After taking nearly a month off, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Winged Outlaw Warriors will return to action on Saturday August 22nd at the West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO.

The Winged Outlaw Warriors last raced at West Plains in a co-sanctioned event with ASCS in 2005 in an exciting race won by Gary Wright.

2007 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Rookie of the Year Josh Fisher leads WOW into West Plains.  The current point leader comes into the race with three wins on the year and eight top five finishes in nine races.

Rusty Potter is currently second in the standings as he trails Fisher by 68 points.  Potter won his second career WOW feature at 24 Raceway in Moberly a few weeks ago and he has four top five finishes in nine races.

Currently third is Austin Alumbaugh, who is coming off a solid showing at the Knoxville Raceway’s 360 Nationals.  Alumbaugh has one career WOW win and three top five finishes this season.

Chris Walker has had a solid second season with WOW as he currently sits fourth in points and he is followed closely by Curtis Boyer.

Currently sixth in the standings is Frank Brown who is followed by Tony Crank, Randy Martin, Mitchell Moore, David Brown, and Dakota Carroll.

Another driver who is expected is part-time WOW competitor Jonathan Cornell, who is currently second in the Knoxville Raceway 360 division standings. Cornell, who finished second in the 2008 WOW point standings, is still looking for his first career win with the group.

These drivers and more will be battling for $1500 to win with all A main competitors being guaranteed $250 to start.
