Winged Outlaw Warriors Celebrate 2009 at Isle of Capri
BOONVILLE, MO (December 1) - Winged Outlaw Warriors recognized their
drivers, owners, crews and fans with the 2009 Season Banquet held November
14th at the Isle of Capri Casino/Hotel in Boonville, MO. Approximately 100
people watched as Josh Fisher was crowned 2009 O'Reilly WOW Sprint Points
Champion. Fisher thanked his crew and sponsors for his successful season.
The evening began with a social hour and silent auction. Numerous sprint car
component manufactures and vendors donated items that drivers placed bids on
during the evening.
Austin Alumbaugh was awarded the 2009 Clyde Wood Rookie of the Year Award.
Alumbaugh dedicated the award to his dad who helped make it possible to
build a team after a winter fire at Alumbaugh's shop destroyed all of the
team's cars.
Eight drivers were recognized for having perfect attendance to all 2009
sprint car events. These drivers were awarded provisional start certificates
for 2010 season. Earning the award were Josh Fisher, Rusty Potter, Austin
Alumbaugh, Chris Walker, Frank Brown, Curtis Boyer, Tony Crank, and David
Brown.
Randy Martin collected the $150 pot during the Isle of Capri Sprint Car Stud
Poker Game. Winged Outlaw Warriors members who had won a card game during
the racing season were eligible to play in the game. The 2010 season will
begin with $150 remaining in the pot and $25 added each race. Any driver
hitting a Royal Flush collects all the money.
