SPRINGFIELD, MO. (January 9, 2010) - Coming off their most successful racing season, Springfield Raceway owners and promoters Jerry Hoffman and Doug bland have released an action packed Tenative 2010 Racing season schedule at the Quick-Quarter. Weekly action will feature the high power and popular A-Mods,the ever growing SportMod(B-Mod),StreetStocks(Formerly Bombers),LegendCars and 2 new classes as the Midwest Modz(Econo-Mod) and the low cost budget PureStocks. 2010 will get right into action on Sat March 27th with March Madness. Classes will be named later for this opening event. The track will hold 2 test and tune practices on April 3 and 10th for any class to prepare for the upcoming racing season. The battle for the 2010 championship chase begins on Sat April 17 with battles in all 6 classes. The points chase continues April 24th and May 1 as the second special event of the season will be held on May 8 with 360 Sprint Car racing as the Winged Outlaw Warriors will battle the ASCS Sooner Regional Sprint Cars along with support action for the SportMods, Midwest Modz,Legends and PureStocks. May 15 and 22 the point battles heat-up with regular show racing as the Speedway will take May 29th. The much awaited event of the 1st Annual Pure Stock Enduro 100 lap event will be held on Monday May 31 with the winner recieving $2,000 to win as the North-South Shootout for A-Mods with the winner receiving $1,000 to win. The month of June finds the tough point battles going all month long as July 3rd will see LateModel Action for the 1st time in 2010 with the running of the John Kuntz Memorial 50 as the popular A-Mods will battle for $1,000 to win event. July 10th will see the chase for the championship pick back-up with July 17th being an off night.Points will pick back up on July 24th and will run right until the season championship night on Sept 4th. No Racing at the track on Sept 11,but Sat night Sept 18 will be the running of the Larry Phillips Memorial with support classes to be announced. No racing on Sept 25th,but a special Nascar Night will be held on Thursday evening show featuring Kenny Wallace and Jamie McMurray as they benefit Autism Awareness.This evening will feature A-Mods,SportMods,PureStocks and Legends. October 2 will be a down night with no action as the speedway prepares for the popular Octoberfast on Sat evening October 9th featuring special paying events for A-Mods,SportMods,the newly formed Midwest Modz,StreetStocks,Legends and PureStocks. The season will end with the Turkey Classic on November 27th with LateModels,A-Mods,SportMods,and Midwest Modz.
