SPRINGFIELD, MO (April 7) - As the Springfield Raceway prepares to get the 2010 Racing season underway on Sat April 17th, Owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland have announced that all Police, Fire, EMS and Sheriffs Department will be admitted Free to the season opener. "These people do alot and are the unsung heros in our areas. We want to show them a big thank you by letting them in Free on opening night along with 2 immediate family members.They will need to show their ID Badges for the Free Admission."quoted Jerry Hoffman. The Season opener at the famed Quick-Quarter will feature A-Mods,SportMods,StreetStocks,Legends,MidWest Modz and the PureStocks.Grandstand Gates will open around 4PM with hotlaps starting at 5:30 and Racing at 6PM.The entire month of April will feature a 6PM starting time before switching in May. 2009 Champions include Jackie Dallton of Carthage(A-Mods) Billy Street of Joplin(SportMods) Robert High of Springfield(StreetStocks) and Jason Rayle of Springfield(Legends).The Midwest Modz and PureStocks are new to the regular points racing program this season at Springfield.
