Springfield Raceway Cancels May 31st Pure Stock Enduro And Modified Shootout

SPRINGFIELD, MO (May 5) - The Officials at the Springfield Raceway have announced today that the Special Monday Afternoon PureStock Enduro and Modified North-South Shootout on May 31st has been Canceled.

 "We just didn't get enough entries to justify the Pure Stock Enduro event."quoted co-owner Jerry Hoffman.

 It's a shame as this was a special event to put the spotlight on those drivers and we have the Modified North-South Shootout along with it.Those drivers that have already paid the early entry will be refunded."

 "After a weekend of racing in Southwest Missouri that weekend (Midway on Friday Night,The Show-Me 100 Weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway,and the Tony Roper Memorial at the Monett Speedway.) We feel that everyone would be ready for some Rest time and with Monday being a Holiday,it will be needed."

 Springfield Raceway will not be racing during the Memorial Weekend at all,but will be back in action on Sat Night June 5th as the popular traveling USMTS Super Modified tour comes to the Quick-Quarter for their only scheduled apperance of 2010.
