LEBANON, MO (June 15) - A chance for the crowd to meet and greet the drivers competing Friday night at the Lebanon Midway Speedway will help to top of the outstanding racing action as the 2010 Chase for the Championship continues Friday night with racing action featuring the Central Bank Factory Stocks, Energy Company Modifieds, Town and Country Releaty Street Stocks,Pure Stocks, Sportsman and Midwest Modz. This is a chance for the fans to get up close with the drivers and their cars at Intermission break. The point battles are tight here early in the season with the chase going all the way into latter Sept. Tyson Troutman of Houston holds a very slim 4 point margin over last weeks winner Ben Solberg of Springfield.Houston's Donnie Miller who was absent from the racing action fell to third place with Grovesprings Mark Davis and Niangua's Chris Wynn completing the top 5. Modified action will see Springfield's Wayne Graybeal still on top of the standings only 26 points ahead of Stoutland's Tyler Brown.Recent Lebanon High School Graduate Micheal Stake has vaulted to third place and in a dogfight with Springfield's Wes Long,JC Morton and Halfway's Ted Ballinger for position. StreetStock point leader and defending champion Joe Francis holds a 66 point margin over Lynchburg's Brandon Waters.With the large car count in the StreetStocks and several drivers starting to hit their groove it is still up in the air.SpringfieldRaceway point leader Jack Hamer of Ava is in a tight battle with Billy Waters,Lebanon's monk Barker and Squire's Rodney Yost for spots. Last Friday night over 16 PureStocks entered the racing action as point leader Kory Barker of Lebanon not only took home the feature but stretched his lead over Robert McGinnis of Lebanon.Lebanon's Adam Lowrance,Mansfield's Joey Long and Conway's Danny Caffey round out the top 5 with more spots moving. Sportsman defending champion Ben Newell holds only a 12 marker lead over father JC Newell as Clinton Betts,Tim Ballinger and Bennie Joiner complete the top 5. 14 year old JC Newell of Stoutland has a large lead in the newly formed Midwest Modz over 50 year racing veteran Earl Muilenburg of Sparta and Springfield's Terry Williams. Gates open at 5PM with hotlaps starting at 7:05 and racing at 8PM sharp.
