CAMERON, Mo. (July 16, 2010) – Bronson Maeschen snared his second career
American Sprint Car Series Midwest feature win by topping Friday night’s
25-lap main event at U.S. 36 Raceway.
Maeschen assumed
the lead when Jonathan Cornell suffered a broken shifter on a lap 22 restart
and paced the final rounds to secure his first series win of the year.
Maeschen took the
checkered flag in front of Eric Lutz, who took over the ASCS Midwest Region
points lead with the runner-up finish.
After leading the
initial 18 rounds before Cornell squeezed by for the lead, Jon Corbin
settled for the show position with Aussie Jamie Veal taking fourth after
starting 13th.
Chris Morgan
rallied from 17th to round out the top five, with Jordan Boston,
Tyler Blank, Frank Brown, Kim Kennedy and Doug Lovegrove completing the top
ten.
Cornell, Corbin and
Lutz topped Friday night’s heat races.
